A Brass Rectangular Tea Tray, Early 20th Century
The center panel has a delicately incised four-seasons flower pattern with a “Shou” medallion in the center and a bamboo design frame on four sides. Bamboo combined with four-seasons flowers and “Shou” character has the hidden meaning of “best wishes for longevity”. Plum blossom, cymbidium, chrysanthemum and bamboo are typical symbols that represent the four seasons.
It is in excellent condition.
