A lively and skillfully made Chinese pewter ox with famous maker marks: ‘Chao Yang Yan Yi He Long Ji’ – “Chao Yang” is a place name, now today under Shantou City, Guangdong Province. “Yan Yi He” is one of the famous pewter marker shops in Chao Yang. Condition of this ox is good. Apart of an old restoration on one of the ox legs, some age scratched and, a minor dent closed to the container rim.
